The project
SE4Ces, Social Economy Forces, is an Erasmus+ knowledge alliance that brings higher education and the social economy closer together. It built a joint online Master's programme on social economy and community development strategies, piloted in Spain, Italy, Greece and the UK, and set up Social Economy Living Labs.
What I did
This was my first big project where I had the lead in communication. Together with our project officer I co-led WP8, communication, the project's largest work package. I wrote the strategy paper and communication plan, ran the quarterly newsletter, built social media toolkits for the partners, produced content such as toolkits, videos and the project poster, and advised the partnership on communication.
The final event
I led the project's final interactive workshop at the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels, bringing together universities, social economy organisations and policymakers to present the results and plan what comes next.
The result
The project reached about 80,600 organisations and individuals through its own channels, against an initial target of 1,000. It built a community of practice of 600 members, drew 75 participants to the final workshop against a target of 50, and 11 countries signed the Memorandum of Understanding to carry the work forward. In the EU's final assessment, impact and dissemination, the area our work package covered, scored 8 out of 10, with particular praise for the newsletters, social media toolkits, videos and website.
